This post shared how I decorated my living room for fall using warm autumn colors of orange, golden tones of yellow, and rust on a backdrop of whites, creams and beiges.
Today I’m excited to share week 3 in the Seasons of Home Series, our Fall Family Rooms! To catch up from the past weeks…
Week 1: Fall Kitchen + Pumpkin Pudding Recipe
Week 2: Fall  Tablescape with a Fruit Centerpiece
I haven’t shared my living room since my Spring Home Tour and I’ve added and changed a few things. For starters we moved the sofas back to facing each other, and I got a new rug.
I got a couple of baskets for under the coffee table, added a tufted ottoman, and restyled the bookcases a bit. Mostly I just took out everything of color there because I wanted to keep things a little simpler for fall.
It had been ages since I went to Pottery Barn so I finally took a trip over there and picked up a few fun finds including these faux plum branches.
I also got those faux fall leaf stems behind the couch and a couple of pillow covers. I really love how cozy this room feels with all these warm colors throughout the room.
I think I have less blue in this room than ever before, but it’s okay because this rug has plenty of it.
I think many people shy away from using orange in their fall decor, but when it is used in softer tones and just the right quantities, it can be so pretty!
That’s about it for this room, I hope you enjoyed the changes I made and if you are curious where anything is from be sure to ask if I didn’t include them here below:

Lovely home! The rug is great, in colors I really like. So tired of red ones!

I always love your tours. Love your color scheme and the new rug. Everything works together so well. Your home is elegant and homey at the same time.

It looks amazing but only has one seat facing the TV which can be a problem. Have the same problem and putting the couch facing the TV just doesnt look right either.
Rachel says
Yeah I see what you mean, but I guess I don’t see it as a problem. Most of the time the kids sit facing the tv with their legs out or just bent… we have had arranged it like this before for almost a year and it never bothered anyone. Plus we don’t watch TV all the time, and it’s nice to have the furniture facing each other– more conversational.

Really cozy, what size is your rug?
Rachel says
It’s 8×10!

Looks beautiful! Where did you find your two orange blAnkets? I love those muted colors and it’s almost impossible to find ones that aren’t that Halloween orange! Thanks!
Rachel says
One is from world market a couple years ago and the other is from Joss and main! It came as a set of two with a checked one. I linked to it in my recent fall front porch post!

Where did you get your beautiful white sofas, and are the covers washable?
Rachel says
They are from Ikea and yes they are removable and washable!

Rachel, any chance you have a layout anywhere? I would LOVE to see it! I am horrible at visualizing but I (THINK) this is like my livingroom and I’m OBSESSED with yours! Please please!
