With Christmas just less than a month away, decking the halls is in full swing! While our bedrooms often get overlooked, today I’m going to show you why you might want to show your bedroom a little extra love this Christmas season. I decorated my master bedroom using traditional colors of red and white with a couple pops of green with some artificial trees.

If you have been following along for the past few weeks, today marks week 4 of the Seasons of Home Holiday Decor Series hosted by Kristen of Ella Claire Blog, where today we are all sharing our bedrooms decorated for Christmas.
By way of a recap…
Week 1 – Scandinavian Christmas Kitchen
Week 2 – A Simple Red and White Christmas Tablescape
Week 3 – Scandinavian-Inspired Christmas Family Room
And here is my traditional Christmas bedroom!
The focal point of the room is really that Eastlake headboard that I restored a few years ago.
Because the room is small I decided to stick with a lot of crisp white linens and bed stuff– and just a few statement red pieces.
I wanted some extra coziness this season so I got a down-alternative mattress topper (oh my heavens– so good!), and then a crochet-edge sheet set.
Look at the beautiful details on the pillow cases…
…and the top sheet…
It feels like heirloom quality and it washes beautifully… no shrinking or puckering in any weird places.
Also, can we talk about this beautiful quilted sham? I love the Scandinavian-style star pattern and hand-stitched details.
This exact quilt and sham set are discontinued but here are some great alternatives that are red, classic and have a similar look:
This cross-stitch lumbar pillow goes along with the hand-made Scandinavian theme and is a great way to break up the dark red shams.
I moved my three compartment desk out of the room temporarily so I could put a tree in this corner and I love it! It is so cozy and festive to have a tree in our bedroom, I highly recommend it! A couple years ago I put up a real tree in here, but it turns out my husband was allergic it and was needing his inhaler every night. So, artificial it is!
This tree is 7′ tall slim artificial tree with frosted edges. It is ideal for a small space and I was surprised with how many lights it has!
The frosted edges actually have a little glitter in them which I wasn’t sure at first that I would like, but when it is all lit up, it is actually so pretty with that extra sparkle!
Lastly, this little sitting chair (vintage) that normally went with my desk, got a little love with this cute berry wreath pillow.
That is pretty much it! Nothing like a bedroom tour to get me to clean my room! haha.. it had been months since I had given it a proper cleaning and got rid of random papers and things. This was just the motivation I needed and I hope you might consider giving your bedroom a little love this holiday season!
Other sources in the room:
