Fall Fruits Centerpiece and Tablescape

September 12, 2017 Rachel 6 Comments

Today I’m super excited to share with a Fall Fruits Centerpiece and Tablescape! This is week 2 in the Seasons of Home Holiday Series organized by Kristen of Ella Claire Blog, where a group of us share one space in our homes decorated for fall each week for 4 weeks!

Last week we shared our kitchens decorated for fall with a recipe. To see mine, go here.

This week I was super inspired by the fall fruits I found at a local produce stand and some I found at Trader Joe’s.

This fall fruit centerpiece consists of a simple white pumpkin on a thin bed of eucalyptus, surrounded by Bosc pears, California figs, Concord grapes, and pluots (hybrid of plums and apricots).

I put some brass candlesticks on either side of this centerpiece, then small floral arrangements other either end of the table using the same color palette as the centerpiece.

I know neutral fall decor and neutral fall tablescapes are so popular among bloggers and designers because it transitions easier from season to season, but honestly I truly love color. I enjoy using a neutral base but I like autumn colors and I like using it in my decor for the season. It just feels more festive. 🙂

For the individual place settings I used these acacia wooden chargers I got last year, with simple white plates, and a autumn checked napkin… I kept it fairly simple because I didn’t want to detract too much from what was happening on the center of the table.

I cheated with the treats and bought this raspberry tart at Trader Joe’s. It tasted homemade though!

These pretty Italian plums (never had this variety before) were so sweet and delicious! I fell in love with their soft cloudy skin with ombre tones. Nature is incredible.

I lucked out when I went to my florist on Saturday– after noon they have all their stems half off, so I got a bunch of dahlias, kale, and these whisps of burgundy and gold things (don’t know their name) for $12! I added a little sterculia and soft orange chrysanthemums from my local grocery store for the perfect mini bouquets!

Target had these cute little dipping bowls that were on sale so I picked some up and added them to the table, because why not?

You know how Anthro always has an overhead shot of their amazing tablescapes? Well, mine isn’t nearly as cute, but here is my best attempt! haha
