Can you believe we are already into fall decorating ideas? This summer has flown by. I’m still recovering from a fun weekend at Haven Conference, but I wanted to share this easy craft that will add a fun element to a fall tablescape as a centerpiece or mantel display: Apple candles!
These rope cloches were 70% off at Michael’s so I did not feel bad about grabbing their last two!
While this idea is not even close to being new, I tried to style them in a way that was new to me… doing two variations (taper and tea lights) and pairing them with fresh flowers atop tall candle holders.
I’m showing a simple tutorial for these on eHow and it does not involve a knife of any kind, so this is a craft that your kids can do with you!
I thought I would dread decorating for fall so soon, but these bright, happy colors make the transition much more fun. And with apples in season, with all their different colors, what is not to love?
The tutorial for these are on eHow HERE.
So very pretty! When I first saw this I thought it was a Pottery Barn feature. Gorgeous.
Love this idea! The flowers you used are just perfect with the apples. Just found your blog and so happy I did. I’m a new follower and look forward to seeing more of your creativity!
