Hello friends! It has been awhile! While I would love to say I’ve been sooooo busy with all kinds of fun new things to show you… I have been actually super lazy. I’ve had several days where I did absolutely nothing. I even took 2 naps one day. Truly. I have a lot I SHOULD be doing but I have the hardest time feeling motivated in January. Thankfully, I have had a couple deadlines that have helped me stay above water at least… like this latest project for eHow! I made these cute leather planter holders from old belts that I upcycled:
I love how much style they bring to ordinary potted plants… not to mention they are super functional when you want to move them around… hello handles!
I’m SO ready for spring and even though we got a few inches of snow and had school cancelled yesterday, these little pops of color are just I need to keep me from letting the dishes pile up too high.
I also feel like, even though they are a bit of a modern planter holder, the leather is pretty timeless and classic and it works with a lot of aesthetics.

These look great, what a clever idea for old belts! And two naps in one day sounds absolutely amazing. Man, could I use a day like that!
Cool idea and very clever! I hear ya about it hard getting back into the swing of things after the holidays.
Oh wow, It’s very creative and uniqueness idea. I am very impressed from this idea. Old belt are really useful for other crafts. Awesome blog. Thanks for sharing.
