Happy Monday! Before we get to the next sequential installment of my video tutorial series, and since it is Makeover Monday as well, I thought I’d show you the finished product of the nightstand that I started last week in my Chalk Paint tutorial video!!
We are loving the difference this two-tone look makes! While I can’t wait to finish the rest of the room, I know our budget only allows little changes here and there and I’m okay with that. I know I’ll appreciate the finished product more when it has taken time and sacrifice to create. It is that way with so many worth-while things in life I’ve found!

Awesome video! So want to give this a try. Question for Ms. Rachel, how do you clean/store the wax brush? I’m guessing you’d clean it different than a brush with paint on it?
Hayley! yes cleaning is a bit different…. annie sloan recommends using only mineral spirits. I clean all the wax off with mineral spirits and then if I’m in a hurry to use it again and don’t want to wait for the residual mineral spirits to evaporate from the brush, I put a couple drops of Dawn dish soap in my hand, massage it into the bristles and rinse thoroughly. Great question!
