Hey friends! Today I’m teaming up with an incredible group to offer you all some free fall printables! Because my forte isn’t graphic design, I painted something for you.
I’m calling it: Autumn Storm
One of the things I’ve grown to love since I’ve lived here in the midwest is the storms. Not that I love tornados or the effects of torrential downpour, but there is something breathtakingly beautiful and foreboding about the layers of deep blues and grays in the sky when a storm is coming. Often one side of the sky is ominous while the other side still has sunshine streaming in, bouncing off the golden leaves and shimmering wheat-colored grasses.
I’m a little rusty and the pigments with craft paint are crap, to be honest. I wasn’t as happy with the vibrance of the lighter tones, but it still is pretty I think. I need to invest in some quality paint! 😉
I put this next to my bedside table because by the time I finished the painting, the light had already diminished greatly in our living room (where this is hung), so I tried it out in my master bedroom with the white reflective walls. Besides, I like the idea of switching out art next to your bed now and again to coordinate with the seasons. 🙂
I placed this tray I have that has some ‘breakfast-in-bed’ items in it, like coffee table, tea, a candle, and a vase with some faux autumn leaves.
Here is where it is actually hanging…
I hope one of these vignettes have inspired you on how to incorporate new autumn art into your home!

Rachel this is SOOO pretty! Love it! <3
You have a such a gift, Rachel. I miss taking time to paint.
This is so beautiful! You’re so talented. What would you suggest is the best way to print these?
I just went to OfficeDepot and printed on the smooth cardstock– turned out great! You could do Kinkos too if you prefer– although for both options they will want to see that this is offered online, you won’t be able to save it to a jump disk and take it there because of their copyright laws– they won’t print or copy paintings– so you just have to show them it is available online via dropbox.
Thank you!
THis is GORGEOUS, you are so talented!
That’s beautiful! You’re so talented – painting has never been my forte!
Rachel, this is so AMAZING! I love it. I love how you have it propped next to the bed but I also love how you’ve framed it too. Such an visually interesting mix. Thank you for sharing your talent and beautiful heart. xx
