With the warmer weather changes, I find myself gravitating to some simple changes in my home decor. This is part of the reason why I keep my furniture colors so neutral– because adding or editing color becomes easy and seamless! This summer I’m all about blue (particularly navy) and white…
As you can see, I moved things back to a more open arrangement. Kaila, my daughter suggested it and I thought it was a pretty good idea. 🙂
To keep with my blue and white theme, all I did was trade out a few pillow, and add a couple pillows and some blue jars (only $7 a piece!) for behind the sofa from Home Goods…
Our rug is so comfy now that we a got a new rug pad! I thought the rug was pretty soft before, but when we added the Superior Rug Pad from Rug Pad Corner, I was amazed with how much cushiness it added!
The wool, cut and loop rug I got from Rugs USA last year is it is about 1/2″ thick on the loop parts. It has held up beautifully, but I was concerned about how it would affect our Brazilian Cherry hardwood floors over time. So I talked to one of the reps for Rug Pad Corner and told her my main concern was to protect the floors and to add comfort. Since my rug is large enough to go under the sofas, slipping wasn’t an issue for me, but Rug Pad Corner does have amazing and affordable options for non-slip pads.
They suggested for me the Superior Rug Pad that is 1/4″ thick and to read their section on Rug Pads for Hardwood Floors.
My husband is allergic to everything so I think my favorite part of this pad is that it is hypoallergenic with no weird smells. Of course it is nice that it is made from 100% USA-made felt and is mold/mildew resistant <– a nice quality in the high humidity of St Louis!
I have another rug in my front room that is also wool and we have had it for about 8 years. It has also held up pretty good, except the backing has started to break down. There are all these glue particles that make such a mess whenever I move it. Since lots of rugs and rug pads are made with adhesives that break down over time, I looked on Rug Pad Corner’s website about how they keep their felt pads together– turns out they use a special heat process, so no glues or adhesives are necessary! This means the pad will be better for you floors, for longer!
I also love that Rug Pad Corner, as a company, is extremely environmentally conscious and donates a percentage of EVERY SINGLE ORDER to American Red Cross, American Cancer Society, and St. Jude’s Research. Companies with a conscience are worth supporting, in my opinion.
Because I love my rug pad so much, I asked Rug Pad Corner if they wouldn’t mind giving one away to one of my readers, and they obliged! 🙂 OH and I almost forgot to mention, they get the exact size you need and custom cut it for you, so you don’t have to worry about that mess once it arrives!
Rug Pad Corner provided me with the Superior Rug Pad in exchange for my honest opinion on the product. I would not promote it or offer a giveaway if I did not love it.
So, here’s the deets on how to enter:
