I’m excited to finally share with you the conclusion of the room makeovers I completed for the local family who adopted 3 siblings! Instead of the original 3 weeks that I had planned on completing them, it took me a full 6 weeks, which still is not bad! I finished a couple weeks before Christmas and took some time to recover and relax before I edited all the pictures I took.
Before adopting the 3 siblings, this family had 3 older children, ages 7, 9, and 11 and each had their own room. With the new additions, ages 2, 4, and 6, two of the sisters would be sharing a room and the 3 brothers would be sharing. With their limited space, I knew I could create rooms that combined all their interests and storage needs.
Let’s catch up shall we?

Both room makeovers were sponsored by The Home Depot. They provided me with the means to buy nearly all the materials and supplies to make this happen. Below are a few images from each room to give you a sneak peek.

The bookcases and window seat were made from MDF from The Home Depot, and I ordered the wallpaper and area rug from The Home Depot’s online home decor selection.
They have expanded what they offer online in the past couple years and it is VAST!

I also ordered this natural wood dresser from The Home Depot.

Isn’t this wallpaper so whimsical and dreamy?

In the boys’ shared room, we got them a new industrial bunkbed from The Home Depot’s online shop, as well as the moroccan patterned area rug.

We also ordered a new rustic modern dresser, and a matte black ceiling fan to match.

You’ll want to check out the reading nook I created using a comfy wing chair by the window flanked with these black-out curtains.

The rooms turned out so well. Love the built-ins, wallpaper, and rug in the girls’ room. Oh! And the animal prints. And love the desk shelf , book ledges, superhero prints in the boys’ room. Both rooms are perfect!
