A Simple Red & White Christmas Tablescape

November 16, 2017 Rachel 6 Comments

With the busy-ness of this season, coming up with a pretty Christmas tablescape can sometimes be a last minute effort. Today I have a very simple red & white Christmas tablescape to share with you that you can put together using just a few items. This tablescape is inspired by Scandinavian Christmas decor, which is my theme this year for holiday decorating. You can see my Scandinavian Christmas Kitchen here.

Today is week 2 of the Seasons of Home Christmas decor series hosted by Kristen of Ella Claire Blog.

If you aren’t quiiiite ready for Christmas decor and need inspiration for Thanksgiving…

I have this Fall Fruit Centerpiece & Tablescape

and this Colorful Thanksgiving Tablescape from last year you can check out!

While I wanted this red and white Christmas tablescape to be simple, I also wanted to evoke a sense of coziness and welcome, so each chair got a fuzzy fur pillow.

These wooden chargers are so versatile, I use them for nearly every gatherings, since they coordinate with just about everything!

One thing I love about Scandinavian decor is the attention to detail. The elements may be simple, but there are hand-made details that can’t be ignored. I found these sweet hand-stitched edge napkins at HomeGoods that coordinate with the fair-isle runner I got at Target.

I tucked in a bit of fern in that napkin ring to add a feeling of festivity, and because they are always available at grocery store floral department and you don’t have to rely on the availability of pine, cedar, or spruce sprigs.

The ‘centerpiece’ is just some white mugs that I filled with course salt, added a white taper candle, and tucked some faux berries I found at Target.

I hope you enjoyed this simple Scandinavian-inspired red & white Christmas tablescape!

Be sure to check out these very pretty Christmas tables put together by some friends of mine:
