All Through the House Christmas Tour
This Christmas Blog Hop is hosted by
Town and Country Living and The Everyday Home.
We also have a special co-host…
Mr. Christmas Mouse
We are very excited to share all of the great blogs and beautiful
Christmas Rooms throughout this week, so please come back often
as each day will feature a different room.
Well, you know the rest of the story.
Welcome to our homes…
There is a link to all the homes from the previous days this week at the bottom of this post, so be sure to check them out!
On to my room which I shared a peek of in my Christmas Home Tour…
I convinced Bruno that we needed a tree in our bedroom. I wanted a sort of rustic, cabin look, so I left it unadorned except for lights. I swapped out the blues and grays in the room for more bright white (but added texture of cable-knight and faux fur) and pops of red. It was a match made in heaven with the rustic natural brown tones of the headboard and dresser…
I added a simple pompom garland that I made to the headboard… that got me started on a pompom kick which you will see more about that next week.
I love this little zoomed in shot… the pillows are all from HomeGoods (I only bought 3, plus the reindeer throw).
So here is a little peek of the french chairs that I have been slowwwwwwly working on.
So, as some of you may remember, I picked up this cast iron decorative piece at Vintage Market Days a couple months ago. Isn’t it a fun addition over the TV?
The spine bookshelf is something I built and added a few months ago and I took off some books to add a few decorative items.
The barn door rivals the headboard as my favorite parts of the room, which I added a simple wreath. I love the simplicity.
I also gave our bathroom (which got it’s makeover earlier this year) some simple Christmas touches… I little tree branch stuck in a wood slice (a Home Depot guy gave it to us on our last visit there), strung with a small strand of rice lights.
I will say… dressing up my bedroom in this different combination has motivated me to make my bed everyday and keeps things tidy. It has also motivated me to take many-a-nap on these layers of coziness.
Someone asked awhile ago, what the room looks like when our sconce lights that I made from Ball mason jars, are lit. So I turned them on so you could see. They provide quite a cozy glow to the room.
But the coziest is of course the tree…
If you have ever contemplated putting a tree in your room, I HIGHLY recommend it!
I can’t imagine a more charming Christmas bedroom…just gorgeous xo
Ok, this is going to sound totally weird, but I just want to crawl in your bed and take a nap. It looks so comfy. Love that barn door into the bathroom too. Very cool!
Rachel, your bedroom is just stunning! I love your headboard and the reindeer blanket! And your sliding rustic door into the bathroom … LOVE! Thanks so much for joining the tour!
What a gorgeous bedroom! I would never, ever want to leave it LOL! Love how you styled your room, what a beautiful tree, and your bedding, garland…it’s all gorgeous. Your sliding door….is amazing!
So perfect!! Great job.?
I have old doors in my old house and want to make a slider in my kitchen. Please tell me this exact hardware to buy.
