A Blue Jay in Autumn

September 10, 2018 Rachel 12 Comments

With fall around the corner (and full-blown arrived for some of you), it’s always fun to update smaller frames around our home with a seasonal printable. I am sharing a Blue Jay in Autumn printable that I drew with colored pencil a few days ago.

I’m also joining Ella Claire Blog in a blog hop of 28 other bloggers in offering free fall printables, so make sure to check them out at the bottom.

I added it to a smaller, matted frame and love the simplicity of the art, without any words.

I haven’t drawn with colored pencils in years and had to go buy a nice Prismacolor set before I started, but by the time I was done, I was ready to do another one!

I did a poll on Instagram, asking who might be interested in downloading this Blue Jay as a printable, and it turns out, about 1/4 of you weren’t interested! So, don’t worry I have something coming soon for those who aren’t interested in birds. I’ll be sharing it on Friday.

Tomorrow I’ll share more about these shelves and my living room updates.

This is an original drawing that I’ve made available as a free printable for personal use only. By downloading this print you agree to not distribute, sell, or use for any personal or professional gain.

Nobody asked me to vote. I would love your Bluejay in my home. He is adorable. Not sure what the 1/4 of your followers are passing on. The art work is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

I love him!!! Great job!! We feed our blue jays peanuts in the shell and you always know when they’re coming as they announce their arrival pretty loudly. I learned they’ll pick up the peanut shells and choose to take the heaviest one.

Beautiful, Rachel! What a remarkable drawing of a remarkable bird. My dad has always been a bird fan… keeps a book by the back windows to identify new ones he sees. However, blue jays and cardinals are regular visitors. I love this. Happy (soon to be) fall to you, friend. Hugs!
